Making a Difference Every Day
Pathways to Community Inc. (PTC) was founded on the Core Values and Vision, that through Relationships, Service, and Support – we can make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve every day!
James Kruse, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PTC, recognized the importance of Relationship-Centered Supports within the developmental disabilities service field and built an organization structure and core value system around this principle. PTC’s commitment to living each of these core values has created a service environment that promotes independence, growth, and happiness.
The Pathways Difference
PTC’s deep investment in the Core Values is what sets us apart from other service providers. Through Relationships, vigorous Commitment, and Compassion to those served, PTC works to motivate and inspire every individual served to work each day to reach their full potential. The sincerity and trust built within these relationships provides an opportunity to process and relate information in a way that the individual is able to connect with, allowing them to invest in their own well-being and success.
The qualities necessary to maintain such a unique level of service cannot be manufactured; but instead PTC surrounds itself with people who share the same servant attitude. Each PTC employee is consistently evaluated based upon the criteria defined by the core values, which in turn has a direct impact on the service environment.
It is also a strong belief that the Collaboration and communication of a team is only as effective as its accessibility. From the CEO to our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), PTC offers a united support system which can be accessed for troubleshooting, feedback, or any other pertinent items that need to be addressed. At PTC, it is felt that this level of accessibility is necessary to ensure transparency, accountability, and a clear expectation within the services provided.
Path to Success
In order to create and maintain such an environment, we have developed what we call the “Path to Success”. The “Path to Success” is composed of key elements which produce investment and initiate the relationship building process; this in turn works as a catalyst toward future stability and growth. This process begins when we are first introduced to a potential individual. Our first interaction is as important as any first impression, therefore we take time to get to know each individual and make a personal connection. From this point forward, we go above and beyond to provide opportunities for the individual to be involved in the transition process. A united system of implementation, clearly identified criteria, and personal investment from the individual provide the best opportunity for success. Growing relationships built upon trust and support, continue to foster, and fuel ongoing investment in obtaining current and future objectives. Individuals on the “Path to Success” will experience a greater understanding and investment in all that they do which in turn correlates to a higher quality of life. Increased self-esteem and confidence which are brought on by accomplishments earned with the help of enthusiastic, patient, and compassionate employees; will open doors and opportunities that may have otherwise been deemed unattainable. The PTC “Path to Success” is not a process that has a finish line or an ending point; instead it instills skills, experience, confidence, and lasting relationships which the individual will carry with them every day.
